Job Description:
We are looking for reliable, and experienced General Labourers to help with the installation of irrigation & lighting systems on residential and commercial properties. General Labourers will work alongside the team, and assist technicians. Labourers will be responsible for the following duties:
- Use hand and power tools, including hand trenching with shovels
- Work as part of a 2-4 person team on the installation of small to large size irrigation & lighting systems
- Assist technician in troubleshooting sprinkler problems (install heads, fix leaks, make pipe connections)
- Assist technician in maintaining and tracking inventory used onsite
- Prepare timesheets on a weekly basis
- Ensure work is performed efficiently and safely in accordance with WSIB standards
- Be available to work from when the season begins around mid-April and ends near the middle of December, weather permitting
- Manage time effectively, and work to complete jobs in a timely manner
- Read and understand site plans and help to execute work accordingly
Pay Rate: $19-22/hour based on experience; bonuses & incentive pay
Shift Times: 10-12 hours
- Previous labour or landscape experience is an asset
- Strong time management skills
- Organized
- Positive attitude
- Interest in learning a skilled trade (will be working with plumbing and low voltage wiring)
- Works well in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $19.00-$22.90 per hour
