The Sawmill Restaurant’s Food and Beverage Server is a passionate and enthusiastic individual with proven superior guest service skills. He/she plays an integral part in ensuring this high volume and quality operation presents the highest level of customer service product standards in relation to responsibilities within the Food and Beverage industry. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager and General Manager, this position is responsible for the efficient and consistent flow of food and beverage products.
· Maintain the highest level of professionalism, courtesy and respect towards fellow team members and guests while demonstrating a positive and proactive attitude at all times
· Ensure the highest quality of both food and service at any and all service periods
· Deliver wine and beverage to tables ensuring proper corkage and pouring techniques
· Have thorough knowledge of the food and beverage menu, including understanding of dietary restrictions and allergies
· Effectively and efficiently handle and resolve customer/employee complaints and/or concerns
· Take reservations, welcome and seat customers as required
· Operate a P.O.S. system efficiently
· Maintain the profitability of the operation by increasing revenue through sales and marketing techniques
· Practice and ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and safety standards are maintained
· Efficiently stock, clean and assist with cleaning in related restaurant areas
Job Requirements
· Professional Dining Room Server experienced preferred
· Must possess exemplary guest, customer and employee relations and presentation skills
· Must possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills and abilities
· Preferred knowledge in service of wine and liquor related products
· Preferred working knowledge of PC systems including MS Office & Micros
· Preferred ProServe, first aid, emergency response certification and or training
· Flexible to work a variety of shifts and ability to lift objects exceeding 30kg
