Job Summary:
This is a full-time Construction Yard Management position, in Sidney, on Vancouver Island and the person will be accountable for all functions that support the shipping and receiving of shoring, concrete forming, and scaffolding equipment for clients on Vancouver Island. You will be accountable for the accuracy and timeliness of all shipments to and from the yard prioritizing loading functions and material counts. Lead by example in the yard to ensure that processes and systems are utilized to maintain organization, accuracy, and efficiency in the operation of the site.
Must-Have:
- Minimum 5 yrs of combined experience in Construction or a Construction Yard
- Min 2 years in a Leadership position
- Previous experience driving forklift as required
- MS Office
Nice to have:
- Concrete/Shoring Experience
- Scaffold Experience
Responsibilities:
- Execute efficient operations resulting in timely shipments and accurate inventory
- Manage operations of the Yard and the Office
- Manage a team of 8 staff (7 yard and 1 office)
- Communications with Senior leadership
