Medical Radiation Technologist - Part Time N22-17
Primary Duties
- Signing bonus and re-location assistance offered
- Performs radiographic examinations, including routine general radiographic procedures (including gastrics), mobile x-ray procedures, Mammography, BMD and CT
- Assesses and prioritizes workload
Education & Experience
- Current Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
(CMRITO)
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Certification
- Current BCLS certification
- Demonstrated experience in general radiology and CT
- Experience in mammography is an asset
- Experience with Epic CIS is an asset
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work with patients independently and identify urgent medical indicators within the scope of practice and have the ability to alert the physician of urgent patient conditions that could affect treatment or further testing
- Computer skills, knowledge Meditech; Microsoft Office, PACs, appropriate platforms and reporting software
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians
- Demonstrates an understanding of ethical behaviours and confidentiality requirements in a health care institution
- This position requires availability for on-call shifts
