The J. Hansen Group is in search of a Journeyman Plumber. In this role, you will perform service work on plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments. You will maintain excellent rapport and build long-term value-based relationships with customers. We are looking for a dedicated, hard-working individual who takes pride in their work. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
- Install, repair, and maintain domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
- Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
- Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines
- May prepare cost estimates.
- Other duties as assigned
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school is required.
- Completion of apprenticeship hours or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade
- Service experience is an asset
- Backflow/ Gas Ticket is an asset
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to support 24-hour emergency service for our clients (flexible on-call rotating schedule)
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $30.00-$42.00 per hour
