Electronics Engineering Technologist
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform testing and debugging of new circuit designs and products
- Prepare system verification and validation reports based on test results
- Design and assemble prototype circuit cards and fixtures for circuit evaluation
- Perform 2nd level RCA for RMAs
- Serve as a technical liaison for external certification labs / facilities
- Assist with the creation of product documentation
- Provide input to the design team
Required Skills:
- Electronics Engineering Technologist diploma
- Proficient with standard electronic test equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Microcontrollers and embedded firmware development
- RF technologies: Bluetooth, LoRa, Wi-Fi, LTE, GNSS
- Very low power design and battery safety
- Serial communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, USB, Ethernet)
- A/D and D/A conversion
- Environmental sensing (temperature, humidity, motion, light)
- Industrial signalling (e.g., current loops) and process controls
- Schematic capture and PCB layout (Altium Designer)
- Basic mechanical design knowledge
- Circuit board soldering / re-work
- Ability to manage time effectively to meet schedule commitments
- Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills to support work in a team environment
- Self-started, versatile, and eager to learn
Desired Skills:
- USB-C power delivery operation
- Battery management chipsets and configuration software
- FCC/IC and safety (IEC 61010, UN/DOT 38.3) certification
