Innovative, underground utilities construction company requires a responsible, psychically fit team player to operate a tandem dump truck and pony (class 1)
Duties:
- to haul materials (gravel, top soil, spoil, etc) to and form site
- tow equipment (i.e. mid size excavators) to designated locations.
- operate 5 ton single axle trucks
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance as needed (pre- trip)
- Willing to assist work crews on site to complete tasks and ensure a safe work site (i.e. help with site set up, loading/unloading equipment/supplies, assist pipe layers, other as needed)
Qualifications:
- Valid class one license with air brake endorsement (clean driving record)
- Proven experience as a truck driver or similar role
- Knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance procedures is a plus
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting items and spending long hours on the road
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
