Position Description: Logistics Coordinator
Reports to: Senior Manager, Freight Forwarding
Location: Edmonton, Alberta
BBE Expediting is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Freight Forwarder! Your role will focus on delivering exceptional Customer Service to new and existing clients across a variety of industrial sectors including pharmaceuticals, government, and mining. The successful candidate will be
responsible for sourcing transportation, negotiating rates, and developing shipping solutions across Canada. The successful applicant has experience in the industry, is solution driven, organized, has a high attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Create, analyze, and determine the best value options for our clients.

Quote and arrange a variety of shipments, including straightforward A to B, complex solutions,
multi modal and project specific.

Organize pickup, delivery and close off files for billing in a timely manner.

Arrange for consolidation of shipments.

Provide timely updates to clients and stakeholders.

Prioritization of shipments based on client requirements.

Accurate and complete documentation.

Timely and effective resolution of issues; damage, delays et al.

Other duties as required and directed by your supervisor.

Post-Secondary education; Business diploma/degree.

Customer Service experience

Two or more years of experience in Logistics or Freight Forwarding.

Professional communication, presentation skills and project management experience

SCMP or similar designation.

CIFFA certification.

Must be a team player, a self-starter, a lover of learning.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with a personal drive to succeed.
