Job Description
This position is responsible for conducting laboratory molecular testing and data analysis. This position is responsible for handling samples, sample log-in, sample preparation, DNA extractions, PCR amplification and data interpretation. Responsible to follow Lab safety standards, ISO 17025 standards and guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs). The person must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to learn and follow new methods and SOPs.
Qualifications

A post-secondary education – B Sc in Biotechnology or related programs (Plant Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry etc.) is required.

Related work experience may be considered comparable or equivalent to a degree.

Experience in DNA extraction and PCR analysis is preferred but not mandatory.
