We are hiring for a permanent part-time Administrative Assistant to join our Steinbach office beginning in July 2023. The successful candidate must have a combination of experience and people skills, be dynamic, engaging and able to multi-task in a high paced environment.
Accountable for:
As a member of our Administrative team, you will be responsible for key performance indicators, including:
· Greeting clients; booking meetings; answering and directing calls
· Various administrative duties as assigned by the Manager of Administration
· Maintaining daily log book
· Managing mail
· Invoice processing
· Customer account handling
· Preparing Personal Income Tax Return packages
· Responsible for client year end processing
· Responsible for accurate entry of jobs/projects in company workflow
· Respond to client queries in a timely manner
· Assisting in administrative tasks as directed by the Manager of Administration
Qualifications/Skills, Experience, and Personal Attributes:
· 2-3 years previous experience in an office environment
· Effective communication skills (verbal, written, electronic);
· Solid knowledge and skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Proficient keyboarding skills;
· Ability to work independently;
· Ability to meet deadlines;
· Ability to co-ordinate multiple tasks;
· Excellent time management skills (organization & prioritization);
· A positive attitude with a desire to exceed expectations;
· Available to stay late if needed and a few hours on Saturdays during the month of April
As part of our selection process, shortlisted candidates will be requested to undertake a typing skills test to assess their speed and accuracy.
This position is located in our Steinbach office however training will take place for part of July in our Winnipeg office therefore you must have access to a vehicle.
During tax season, this position will be full-time hours with an additional overtime hours requirement during the month of April. Overtime hours worked during tax season will go towards Friday’s off in the summer. During non-tax season, this position will require a commitment of 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday with a possibility of becoming full-time in the future. Salary to be discussed.
