Citco Group provides services to our Citco Group of Companies and helps business to succeed in client service excellence.
The Citco HR function comprises of these five teams that collaborate to support business operations: Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, Rewards & Retention, Business Excellence and HR Business Partners. Citco recently launched a centralized HR Shared Service model whereby our MyHR team (Business Excellence) is the first point of contact for many HR inquiries.
This opportunity is within the HR Business Partners team. Our core function is to understand our clients’ needs, consult on possible solutions, develop those solutions and deliver them at scale. Our goal is to service our Citco Group of Companies and help the business to succeed in client service excellence. As a valuable member of our talented team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support business operations and help them to achieve their goals.
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for being the main point of contact on behalf of HR in supporting client groups primarily in the Halifax office and potentially some in the Toronto offices. The successful candidate will consult on and bring forward suggestions and strategies that support the people aspects of business objectives. As a member of the HR Business Partners team, other key components of the role will be to review and implement processes and policies, identify efficiencies, risks and downstream impacts to processes, support the continued transition of administrative items to the MyHR team, analyze data/reports, and evaluate/execute initiatives that support key business objectives. The ability to collaborate, take initiative, adapt and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment will be essential to your success in this role.
Your Role:
- You will partner and collaborate with the Citco HR community and your business groups to ensure people strategies are effectively implemented and supported.

Provide accessible and visible support and guidance to management and employees in many areas of Human Resources

Ensure successful resolution of Employee Relations issues, which could include: investigations, absence management, coaching, policy identification and external legal consultation

Support and coordinate Performance Management processes, which could include: facilitating calibration, supporting the performance review process, talent reviews and supporting progressive discipline processes

Implement HR initiatives in support of Citco’s business and strategic plans

Consult HR metrics and data and use the analysis to drive conversations and initiatives with the business

Maintain oversight of risk, ensure appropriate HR protocols are followed and monitor areas of exposure

Conduct project management, process improvement and change management activities in line with HR initiative implementation
About You:

You have a post-secondary education in Human Resource Management or equivalent.

Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in HR

Experience working in a COE model is an asset

Demonstrated experience across the spectrum of Human Resources (employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits) as well as experience working on HR projects and initiatives

Process-oriented mind and strong technical capabilities

Project management and process improvement experience is a strong asset

In-depth knowledge of Ontario’s provincial and federal employment laws and policies; knowledge of Nova Scotia’s provincial employment laws is an asset
