Support Worker – Independent Contractor

Job Summary
We are seeking an individual, couple, or family who would be interested in a flexible 24-hour care situation with an individual with a developmental disability and anxiety. Someone with experience supporting people with disabilities and in mental health is also preferred.
The individual is a 19-year-old man. He is independent, both working and in school. He loves animals and loves to cook. He would like to have some day to day supports with daily living, meal planning, grocery shops, reminders, and scheduling. This individual also has 12 hours a week of community supports, and has a very supportive and wonderful family, that will undoubtedly be a great resource.
Qualifications:
Previous experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities; a background in a mental health profession would be an asset
Ability to obtain a clear Criminal Record check
Ability to obtain First Aid certification with CPR endorsement
Vehicle in good working condition, valid Driver’s License
This is a contract position available July 2023 with a service fee of $2,370 paid monthly and subsidized accommodation costs.
