Countryside Farms is an egg grading plant where we purchase eggs from Manitoba egg farmers, grade, package and market them to the consumer. We have been grading Manitoba-produced eggs for more than four decades, and we are looking to add the right individual to our team.
We are currently seeking a Pre-loader for Countryside Farms in Steinbach, Mb.
Must be able to work flexible hours:
Availability day, evening and night ( 5:30 to 14:30 and/or 10:00 to 19:00)
From 15$/hr
Responsibilities:
· Follow company Policies and standards including Safety functions/features of equipment used.
· Follow guidelines for food safety and suitability
· Load pre-loader conveyor with eggs off material from farms
· Operating lift station when necessary
· Maintain quality, and speed for pre-loading
· Ensure proper separation between each producer lot during loading
· Load and unload off line tray washers
· Unload inline tray washer and load spin dryer
· Wash and/or label producer packaging material as necessary
· Collecting egg waste pails and disposing of egg contents
· Perform general housekeeping tasks within the pre-loading area,
· Perform general duties, and assist production team as required.
Qualifications
· Ability to multitask and assist others when required.
· High attention to detail essential with ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment,
· High attention to quality of work
· Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job, lifting and lowering up to 30lb
· Ability to perform continuous repetitive motions (bending, twisting, turning, squatting, reaching)
· Physically capable of pushing/pulling up to 30lb, lifting and carrying up to 60lbs., able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and walking.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· WHMIS training
· Good written and oral communication skills,
· High attention to company’s Policies and health & safety rules
· Means of transportation to arrive at work
List of must-haves.
· Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience.
