RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Construction Manager is responsible for the following:
- Provide leadership in construction management to the project team;
- Review contractors' schedules, this includes forward planning with the contractor to ensure that overall project schedules are being met
- Responsible for the day-to-day direction and supervision of on-site contractors and other field resources supporting the construction management of the project;
- Main contact between operations and the contractor;
- Coordinate with operations all the stops necessary for the execution of the work;
- Responsible for any technical problem, transferred to VTEK;
- Identify and communicate the risks to the VTEK project manager;
- Work with the project management team to understand, analyze and manage risks;
- Respect and manage the various deadlines imposed on the schedule;
- Monitor the cost of the project;
- Inform the VTEK Project Manager of any delay or problem in construction activities;
- Work with the project manager and the client to manage decisions to modify the scope of work;
- Has the role of occupational health and safety advisor, monitors the activities of the contractor's site to ensure that they are in accordance with the health and safety plan
- Show leadership in occupational health and safety.
