Owned by Janet Zuccarini, Gusto 54 Restaurant Group is a tribute to food, family, innovation, and design that respects the past while rewriting the rules. Café ZUZU aims to strengthen the already existing hustle and bustle in the neighbourhood. From “cappuccino & cornetto”, to enjoying a working (or not-so-working) lunch, to sipping your crisp glass of wine as the sun sets and your dinner is on the grill.
ZUZU is transporting & nostalgic to 1950’s Italy while acknowledging the significance and optimism of the future. Nestled in the heart of Regent Park & inspired by our community, ZUZU merges Janet Zuccarini’s passion for uniquely soulful hospitality with that of giving back to the neighborhoods that we operate in.

The Role
· Take orders, deliver food and drink in a timely manner
· Prepare drinks to order as punched in by service team
· Communicate daily specials and make recommendations to guests
· Cultivate unique and memorable dining experiences for guests
· Handle cash and process payments
· Serve alcohol in accordance with Ontario Law
· Study to maintain strong product and menu knowledge
· Follow Health and Safety Standards when handling food and beverage
· Partake in regular testing to ensure product knowledge is to standard (80%+)
· Attend regularly scheduled training meetings to develop knowledge and skills
· Develop rapport with frequent guests
Who You Are
The right person for this role has a strong hospitality leadership background and prioritize both guest and team member experience. The ideal candidate is equal parts people and process-driven with an aptitude for creating efficiencies at all levels of the business.
Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Previous bartending experience in high volume environments
- Strong knowledge of cocktails and wine
- Smart Serve Certification
