Express Employment Professionals is urgently looking for a Class 3 Driver specializing in gravel hauling in Yellowknife for 6 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate and maintain a Class 3 commercial vehicle, such as a dump truck or gravel truck.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle's safety and compliance with regulations.
- Operate the vehicle in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Maneuver the vehicle in various driving conditions, including construction sites, highways, and urban areas.
- Load and unload gravel and other construction materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment, such as a dump bed or loader.
- Ensure that the load is properly secured and distributed to maintain vehicle stability during transport.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain clear and professional communication with dispatchers, supervisors, and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Valid Class 3 driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in gravel hauling.
- Knowledge of local traffic regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as loaders, as necessary.
- Strong physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- Willingness to work in varying weather conditions and irregular hours.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance procedures.
