Straightline Kia Medicine Hat has an exciting opportunity to join out team in our First Brand New Signature Build in Canada. with increased volume we are looking to add a qualified Journeyman Automotive Technician to our team, Our Facility has been built with brand new shop equipment built for top tech efficiency and offers a great team driven working environment!
The ideal candidate for this position will be an energetic, motivated individual who takes pride in their work and takes the time to properly inspect every vehicle for required repairs and preventative maintenance.
Requirements:
- A high degree of excellence in trouble shooting and diagnostic ability
- Strong attention to detail, quick learner, and the ability to adapt to varying/changing situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Ability to work occasionally on a Saturday
- Valid class 5 driver's license
- Import Automotive experience is preferred but is not required.
- Ability to clear criminal record check
Responsibilities:
- Completing repairs as per time estimates
- Performing warranty diagnosis and repairs
- Accurately diagnose problems using proper procedures
- Road test vehicle after repairs are complete to ensure repairs are completed safely and accurately
- Maintain tools, equipment and shop manuals in a satisfactory manner
- Recommend additional repairs, as required
- Obtain proper authorization for all repairs
- Ensure clear, accurate written documentation of all repairs
- Complete Kia Canada training, Paid Travel to our training center in Vancouver BC
