An Inbound Planner manage and coordinates all Northbound (Return) Planning of Assets upon completion of delivery. Inbound Planner ensures that assets are efficiently and strategically planned for reloads while maintaining a low empty mile percentage. Inbound planning is also responsible for ensuring that the Rate Per Mile (RPM) target set out by management is met, keeping each overall roundtrip above the set average. Inbound Planner is responsible for booking inbound reloads, maintaining customer relationships and building strategic relationships in order to achieve consistent, market (or above) rates and dedicated volumes.

Position Details:
Booking Inbound Reloads
- Sourcing customer/broker rates
- Projecting market conditions and price tolerance for revenue calculation
- Reload efficiency (Gross Revenue vs Overall RPM vs Empty/Loaded miles)
- Pre-booking reloads prior to units becoming empty/available
Planning Assets
- Ensuring that all reloads and their requirements meet Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and are planned on available assets accordingly
- Minimizing number of empty miles between unload point vs reload point
- Continuous communication with supporting departments prior to committing to delivery requirements
- Live-load situations unless exception granted by management
Customer Service
- Maintaining a professional and loyal relationship with all brokers/customers
- Ensures that all customer requirements are adhered to and properly communicated to supporting team
- Communicates any service delays or failures to the customer/customer service representative prior to the occurrence
- Ensures that all pick-up and delivery requirements are met to appropriate service levels
Additional
- Perform any other reasonable duties assigned or directed by management as necessary to ensure the continued success of Wheel King and all departments/affiliates
Requirements:

Education & Experience
- This position generally requires at least 3-5 years of related dispatch experience.
- System training or experience required
- Asset planning experience required
