Class 1A Truck Driver for Gravel Haul
We are looking for an experienced truck driver to haul Earthworks in a safe and timely manner.
Work available in both the Grande Prairie and Fox Creek area.
Hiring Bonus.
Responsibilities
- Transport Earthworks from loading to destination safely and efficiently
- Mandatory PPE required for ALL employees
- Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues for company fleet Management Shop
- Planned routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts
- Invoice load tracking and delivery documentation
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations and parking ) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver with Tri drive configuration pulling tri trailers and side dumps
- Extensive experience on Oil Field roads or off road
- Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc)
- Valid truck driving license, Class 1A required minimum of 5 years
- Mandatory tickets required: CSO, PCST, H2S Alive, First Aid, TDG and Whmis. Work Hub (formerly SafetySync, are transferrable)
- Driver's abstract not older than 30 days
- Company Insurance check and authorization prior to hire
