We are seeking skilled and compassionate Stretching Therapists to join our team. The Stretching Therapists will be responsible for conducting assessments, proposing treatment plans, and administering a variety of stretching techniques to clients to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve overall wellness. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about the human body, skilled in Stretching techniques, and have a passion for helping others achieve optimal health.
Responsibilities:
- Professional assessments by performing range of motion and muscle tests to determine clients' conditions and propose individualized treatment plans.
- Explain procedures, risks, and benefits of stretching therapy to clients.
- Administer various techniques to treat soft tissues and joints of the body through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations, remedial exercise programs, and client self-help programs.
- Suggest home care instructions and provide information about techniques for further postural improvement and stretching, massage, strengthening, relaxation and rehabilitative exercises.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments given, including the client's progress and treatment plans.
- Keep up-to-date with new manual techniques and industry trends.
- Participate in continuing education courses to improve skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Completion of a stretching therapist program from an accredited institution
- Registration with the College of Stretching Therapists.
- Ability to conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Skilled in manual techniques including Stretching, soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, exercise programs, and client self-help programs
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with clients, including explaining procedures, risks, and benefits of stretching therapy
- Ability to maintain accurate records of treatments given and clients' progress
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage a busy schedule
- Professionalism, including maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards
- Knowledge of and adherence to relevant health and safety regulations.
