Job description
Sono Consulting is seeking a Medical Receptionist to join our Oshawa location (300 King St West, Oshawa) on Saturdays, occasional Sundays, and occasional weekdays. You have an opportunity to work with a caring team that strives to maintain the best work conditions for all our staff! You will be able to work independently while having all the necessary support in order to excel in your field of expertise.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule and confirm appointments using Velox Imaging system
- Greet and check-in patients
- Act as a resource for patients, technicians, and physicians by addressing their questions and concerns
- Upload/submit patient studies to physicians as well as manage OHIP and non-OHIP billing via Velox
- Maintain high accuracy when handling patient records and ensure all forms are completed as per the clinic's and MOH's standards
- Resolve any escalated/urgent patient cases
- Monitor and order clinic supplies
- Keep the office organized
- Replace garbage bins at the end of the shift

- Must be able to work on Saturdays, and be flexible to work occasional Sundays and weekdays
- Experience with Velox Imaging application is highly preferred
- General understanding of the diagnostic medical terminology and procedures is preferred
- Experience working at a diagnostic imaging clinic is preferred
- Possession of CPR certificate is preferred
Paid training will be provided during weekdays.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 8-16 per week
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
