Are you looking for weekend work for some extra money? Wanting to gain experience in a mill environment? Then this could be a great job for you! We are hiring for Weekend Cleanup/Firewatch Labourers at our sawmills in Ladysmith, Nanaimo, and Chemainus, BC. We have multiple positions available at each location.
This position is considered safety sensitive, all successful candidates will be subject to a pre-employment drug test.
General labour, cleanup and spark watch (supporting our weekend maintenance crews).
All employees must maintain a safe and clean work area.
Education and Experience
It would be an asset to have previous experience in a safety-sensitive environment (trades-related or an industrial environment), but not necessary. We will train people without this background if they have the right attitude and want to learn!
Grade 12 or equivalent required.
First Aid/WHMIS an asset – preference is always given to candidates who have OFA 3.
