CASUAL COOK POSITION
The Bethania Group is currently recruiting for the position of Casual Cook. The Bethania Group manages Senior’s Housing in various locations in Winnipeg. We strive to provide the highest quality of care to all of our residents and tenants. To that end, we depend on the skills and compassionate caring of individuals in a variety of disciplines including our Food Services Department.
This unionized position (CUPE) plays a key role in providing quality meal services to residents and staff at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home located at 1045 Concordia Ave. in Winnipeg, MB. There are no guaranteed hours in this casual position but may lead to a part-time position in the future.
As the successful candidate, you are dedicated to providing the highest standards within the food service industry. You are a reliable team player with effective interpersonal skills. Healthcare experience will be considered an asset.
NOTE: ALL staff working in any of our facilities are required to be fully vaccinated and must provide proof of vaccination upon hire.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent education
- 2-4 years previous cooking experience in both quantity and short-order cooking
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- WHMIS training
- Ability to lift up to 9 kg (20 lb)
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
Successful candidates are required to provide a current (within 12 months) Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Persons Sector search and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
