Heavy Commercial Body Technician
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Attention to detail
Transportation and travel information: Own transportation, Valid driver's license
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Additional Skills: Clean and maintain work space, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Area of Work Experience: Metal cutting, Underbody components, Body components, Doors and frame, Front end components, Uni body machine, Interior components, Prepping panels for painting, painting, etc...
Specific Skills: Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed, Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components, File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired, Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place, Repair or replace interior components, Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling, prepping panels for paint, painting panels
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Motor Vehicle Body Repairer
